How we work
On most loans there is no direct fee from us — we are paid a commission by the lender, regardless of the lender chosen.* We compare options across a broad panel — from major banks to specialist and non-conforming lenders — rather than pointing you to a single product.
Our team
Sandy Padilla
Principal Broker
Sandy has spent more than 20 years in finance, property development and real estate investment, so she knows investment lending from the investor's side of the table, not just the lender's. She's a qualified Specialist Lending Adviser who works out the right loan structure up front, spots the risks before a lender does, and sets things up so your finance still works as your portfolio grows. Sandy works with clients across Sydney, the Hunter Valley and nationally, and also holds a real estate licence ahead of our buyers agent services launching in 2027.

Luke Brown
Principal Broker
Luke has been in the mortgage industry for more than 30 years and has run his own broking businesses for the last 21 — ESP Finance and Property is his third. In that time he's helped thousands of clients get their lending sorted, with practical advice in plain English and no surprises along the way. His specialty is self-employed clients with complex needs — the ones who don't fit neatly into a bank's checklist. He's professional and upfront about how things work, but doesn't take himself too seriously — most clients find a bit of humour helps when you're making one of the biggest financial decisions of your life.

Jack Chang
Broker
Jack is a qualified mortgage broker who works alongside Sandy and Luke, looking after clients from the first conversation through to settlement. He brings more than 15 years in banking and finance, from corporate banking to senior roles in investment and trust businesses, along with a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management and a degree in accounting. Jack is fluent in English and Mandarin, so if you'd rather talk through your loan in Mandarin, he's the one to call.

Brigid Doherty
Customer Service Manager
Once your home loan is formally approved, Brigid takes it from there through to settlement. Her job is to keep everything moving. She stays on top of the lender, conveyancer and agent so nothing stalls, and keeps you posted so you always know where things stand. Got a question along the way? Brigid's your first call. When she's not getting home loans across the line, she's busy being mum to three rambunctious boys, one of whom is technically an adult (her partner).
